Perrotin is seeking a director with at least ten years’ experience to lead their first British gallery, which will take up lodgings in the historic Mayfair hotel.

Mega-gallery Perrotin will open a 350-square-metre gallery in Claridges in 2025. It will be located by the hotel’s ArtSpace Café with access on Brook’s Mews.
The London gallery adds to Perrotin’s existing spaces in Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, and Shanghai.
Perrotin’s founder, Emmanuel Perrotin, said the gallery had a longstanding relationship with the U.K. art scene, and that it’s important to have a space in the British capital.
‘I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to set up the gallery in the right conditions,’ he said.
He noted that the London space was inaugurated in 2021 with a Damien Hirst exhibition organised by Claridge’s and, coincidentally, he had organised early commercial exhibitions of Hirst in Paris in the early 1990s.
‘It was an exceptional moment in my career. I look forward to coming full circle!’ he said.
Perrotin is currently assembling a team for the new gallery. They’re seeking a director with ‘a minimum of ten years’ experience in a London gallery’ to lead it. —[O]
