CULTURE CLUB

On Oct. 6, luminaries from the art, dance, and fashion worlds converged on the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers to celebrate more than 20 years of A.I.M. by Kyle Abraham, the choreographer’s eponymous dance company. This year’s gala honored Bebe Neuwirth, Chris Calkins, and Adam Pendleton. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed dinner and a silent auction, the highlight of which was a dinner with Abraham and New York City Ballet’s Wendy Whelan, which sold for $10,000. Before dispersing for the night, the crowd was treated to a three-part restaging of Abraham’s Show Pony, which was choreographed specifically for the gala. Notables in attendance included Jonathan Gardenhire, Calvin Royal III, Antwaun Sargent, Sydnie Liggett-Dennis, Samanthe Rubell, Fletcher Kasell, Tanner Richie, Skyler Mitchell, and more.
