Art for Change is a platform that connects socially conscious art collectors with leading contemporary artists and their works. The organization recently teamed up with Corporación Piñones se Integra (COPI) on a charity print initiative.

COPI is a community-based non-profit organization in Puerto Rico that works to “transform the community into a space of greater cooperation, justice, and solidarity,” as per a statement. COPI is based in Loíza on the northeast coast of Puerto Rico and founded by Maricruz Rivera Clemente, a social worker and sociologist to protect and preserve the history and culture of a 400-year-old Afro-Puerto Rican community called Piñones.

Renowned Brooklyn-based artist Katherine Bernhardt helped conceptualize the charity print initiative during a visit to the non-profit where she is also an active member of the artistic community in Puerto Rico. Participating artists in the campaign also include Carlos Rodriguez, Radamés “Juni” Figueroa, Melissa Brown, and Nicasio Fernandez.

Art for Change will donate 20% of the proceeds from the sale of each limited edition print to COPI. The artists will receive 50% percent of the proceeds from the sale. Visit Art for Change’s website to learn more.

Elsewhere in art, AllRightsReserved and Yusuke Hanai teamed up on two limited edition sculptures.
