Willy Chavarria will debut his Fall/Winter 2025 collection at Menswear Paris Fashion Week in January, marking the label’s first show outside New York and signaling its expanding global influence. This milestone follows a string of accolades, including a second CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Award and recognition from GQ, as well as the Latin American Fashion Awards. 

Deborah Berke of architecture firm TenBerke has won AIA’s 2025 Gold Medal Award.

Deborah Berke, dean of the Yale School of Architecture and founding principal of TenBerke, has received the 2025 AIA Gold Medal, the institute’s highest honor. The award recognizes her leadership in design, education, and social responsibility, including her work advancing equity in architectural education and her contributions to mass timber projects for institutions like Smith College and Yale.

A docu-drama dives into the lore of Eileen Gray’s E. 1027 Villa on the French Riviera.

The new docu-drama, E.1027 Eileen Gray and the House by the Sea explores the design and history of Eileen Gray’s iconic villa on the French Riviera, including Le Corbusier’s controversial mural defacement in the late 1930s. Directors Beatrice Minger and Christoph Schaub focus on the layers of violation surrounding the incident, with a nuanced portrayal of Gray’s legacy. The film coincides with renewed interest in Gray’s work, as her nearby 1934 villa, Tempe à Pailla, recently hit the market for $3.87 million.

A rare Caravaggio portrait from a private collection is on view for the first time in Rome.

Caravaggio’s Portrait of Monsignor Maffeo Barberini, an exceptionally rare work by the Baroque master, is being publicly displayed for the first time at Rome’s Gallerie Nazionali Barberini Corsini. The portrait, depicting the future Pope Urban VIII, had remained in private hands for decades and was long sought after by art scholars. This exhibition, running until February 23, 2025, marks a milestone in showcasing one of the few portraits created by Caravaggio.
